Paul is the lead winemaker for Quilceda Creek. Beginning his career with the remarkable 1988 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (94 pts, Wine Advocate), Paul has been instrumental in driving the improvements of quality at Quilceda Creek. Paul's influence has led to Washington State's first, second and third 100 point wines.

Paul has an exceptional palate and an unbridled passion for wine. While influenced by two great winemakers—his father Alex Golitzin and grand Uncle Andre Tchelistcheff—Paul's style is 100% his own and has shown in the last several vintages. Big wines elegantly balanced with fruit, layers of oak and rounded tannins that make a distinctive wine and an enjoyable experience upon release, but can be cellared for 20 plus years.

“It is all about pleasure.”

Paul is married to Lori and together they have a daughter, Maya.
