Discovery Vineyard
Mays' Discovery Vineyard was planted in the spring of 2005 with Paul Champoux as vineyard consultant. It was planted to
17 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 6 acres of Syrah and 1 acre of Petit Verdot. 11 acres of the Cabernet Sauvignon is
planted to high density (3 x 8) with north/south row orientation. The vineyard elevation runs from 500 to 590 feet
with a south/southeast aspect, looking down on the Columbia River. Dual irrigation was installed utilizing both
micro-sprinklers and drip. Paul Champoux continues to consult and we use his nutrient program as well as his experienced labor force.
