Drink Now - 2010
We feel the 1989 vintage is the finest Cabernet ever produced at Quilceda Creek.
The wine has tremendous concentration together with perfect balance, showing the superb
fruit of the 1989 Washington vintage. It is drinking well now and will continue to
improve in the bottle, approaching its peak near the run of the century, and continuing
to live elegantly into the next one.
1989 Cabernet Sauvignon
"The 1989 is particularly promising, with an opaque purple
color, a superb blackcurrant nose, very deep, concentrated fruit,
outstanding extract, and great length. It would be prudent to
make reservations for this wine now. Score: 90-93 Barrel Sample"
Robert M. Parker, Jr.’s, Wine Advocate
Closing date: 6-30-90 Number 69
“Tight and firm, with a cedary aroma and ripe currant, toast
and berry flavors on the palate. Elegant and well balanced, drinking
well now but with depth and intensity to carry it through the decade.
Best from 1996 to 2000. 925 cases made.(5/15/94)”
