The 2000 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red is made from fruit and
barrels declassified from our top offerings. It is a rich, medium-bodied
wine full of black cherries, marzipan, smoke and spices.
Demonstrating nice balance, this wine represents an excellent value and should
be enjoyed now or over the next 10 years.
Good red-ruby. Complex nose combines black raspberry, graphite,a cedar and
smoky, spicy oak. Supple and juicy, with slightly dry berry and oak flavors.
Could use a bit more vibrancy. Finishes with firm-edged tannins and good length.
Score: 88
