The 2022 growing season started with a cool and wet spring, which led into above average temperatures that continued through October. These conditions, coupled with our precise farming practices, were ideal for fruit development and extended hang time, resulting in optimal ripeness.

"The monumental 2022 Quilceda Creek ‘Tchelistcheff’ Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Mach One Vineyard utilizing clone 412 Cabernet Sauvignon. Very brooding in the glass, this shows off dense crème de violette, tar, Turkish coffee and heady black and purple fruits on the palate. A massive beast that really needs some air for taming, give this a few years in the cellar before uncorking. Drink 2026-2046."

"The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Tchelistcheff is 100% from Clone 412 Cabernet grown at Mach One Vineyard, and it ups the ante on uniqueness in its slatey, herbal, high-toned character, deeply savory and distinct. Black fruit, black tea, and a highly umami quality make it memorable and amazing, completely compelling in its full-bodied power and grace, with only 300 cases made. Get your hands on it if you can and cellar through 2042."

It’s full-bodied, bold, powerful and broad-shouldered yet remains silky and refined, even with the massive tannin structure running along the palate. Clone 412 from Mach One Vineyard.
